Founded in 1993, The Partnership at Portland State University (PSU) is a mission-driven organization with a proven track record of leveraging research, consultation, training, education, participant and program evaluation and simulated practice opportunities to strengthen the workforce of Oregon’s human services agencies and enhance the outcomes of the communities they serve.
Located in the heart of Salem, Oregon, The Partnership @ PSU boasts several large training spaces, with our largest accommodating up to 80 learners. All of our training spaces are equipped with state-of-the-art SMART Board™ and presentation technology. The Partnership is also equipped to bring the training directly to your worksite, with dedicated trainers, IT specialists and administrative support staff ready to make your team’s workforce development experience a success.
Our distance learning workforce development options also allow your staff to train no matter where they are. Making use of our unique, award-winning dual SMART Board™ training method alongside the classroom management tools of Zoom, The Partnership can replicate the in-person classroom experience virtually and seamlessly.
We collaborate with and encourage feedback from our community partners every step of the way, including during curriculum development, logistics planning, and post-training reflection.

The Partnership at PSU is one of the earliest workforce development organizations to pioneer and develop live simulation programs. With 6 dedicated simulation spaces including one large multi-purpose simulation room, The Partnership has experience creating a variety of realistic simulation environments, including home-like settings, office settings, courtrooms, and classrooms. These simulation spaces are easily reconfigurable to create new, dynamic spaces that fit what your workforce may encounter in the real-world.

Backed by the resources of Oregon’s only urban public research University, The Partnership’s existing stipend program affords individuals interested in working in the human services field access to financial support to pursue higher education, enhancing workforce stability and morale and achieving better outcomes for the clients you serve.
